History
Penderyn Football Club was founded back in 1937, records dating back before that may suggest that there was a team in the village before then, but we have reliable sources to suggest 1937 was when Penderyn FC was officially formed.
Penderyn FC, play in the Aberdare Valley League, and have successfully won the title 4 times since 1998, scoring many goals along the way. Their most recent success was winning the league Cup in 2006.
The club boasts a combination of experienced players and up and coming players. Penderyn FC have attracted several well known signings in recent years, which has led to their success.
In the 2000 season, Penderyn suffered heavily with injuries, and finished mid-table that year, this is something that the team wishes to forget, and has gone to amazing lengths since then to change things for the better, including appointing a new manager.
This season Penderyn, are looking likely League winners, and are also doing exceptionally well in the League Cup, thanks to some excellent goalkeeping, and some star performances from their two strikers, Lloyd and Ian, keep up the good work in front of goal boys!
